Commitment: 1 practice, 1 batting cage and 3 games each week (including one doubleheader).
Season: April, May, June
Players get to form their own teams of 13-15 players. Players without a team will be able to register as a free agent and will be placed on a team that does not have a full roster.
Girls are encouraged to hone their softball skills at a higher level of competition and intensity than they experienced in the developmental program. Games are played on Sunday afternoons/evenings at Legacy Fields and on Monday or Thursday nights against Glen Lake and Minnetonka teams at Guilliam Fields, Legacy Fields and Optimist Field.
Players receive a t-shirt and black socks. Players must provide their own batting helmet (with mask) and softball mitt. Gym shoes are fine, plastic cleats are optional. Fielding masks for infielders is recommended.
A season-ending in-house tournament in late June including MGSA and Glen Lake teams offers the opportunity for additional competition.
