Fastpitch

2024 Spring/Summer Volunteer Requirements for Fastpitch Families

Requirements:

Two shifts per player

Deposit or buyout is due by March 1.  Players will not be placed on a team until deposit or buyout is sent (see below)  

Fastpitch Exemptions:

One Head Coach per Team

Two Assistant Coaches per Team

One Team Manager per Team

All Fastpitch Committee Members

Paid Sponsors

Shift: A shift is not limited to a certain time commitment. For example, a shift can be one evening at the concession stand or one slot as a grounds crew worker at a tournament. If loading and unloading mulch, this is counted as two shifts. All shifts must be documented and approved by the Volunteer Coordinator. Shifts are non-transferable from other sports (i.e. baseball).

Rainouts/Cancelations: If a shift is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances and volunteers were informed in advance, the shift must be rescheduled because games are typically rescheduled.

Buyout: A buyout of $150 per player will exempt you from volunteering.  Please send $150 to Tonka Softball's PayPal account @tonkasoftball. Please be sure to include your child's first and last name, league and league age. (For example, Sydnee Wischmeier, Fastpitch, 10U) BUYOUTS ARE DUE BY March 1. 

Deposit: A deposit of $200 is required if not doing buyout.  This deposit will be returned after the volunteer requirement is fulfilled.  Please send $200 to Tonka Softball's PayPal account @tonkasoftball.  If you are registering more than one player, each player needs her own transaction to PayPal. Please be sure to include your child's first and last name, league and league age. (For example, Sydnee Wischmeier, Fastpitch, 10U) DEPOSITS ARE DUE BY MARCH 1.  If you are registering more than one player, the first player is $200, each additional player is $100.  

COACHES AND TEAM MANAGERS - THE BUYOUT OR DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE BY MARCH 1.  IF YOU ARE CHOSEN TO BE A HEAD/ASST COACH OR TEAM MANAGER, THE BUYOUT OR DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED!

SPONSORS - THE BUYOUT OR DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE BY MARCH 1.  ONCE YOU HAVE ARRANGED AND PAID FOR SPONSORSHIP WITH THE SPONSORSHIP DIRECTOR, YOUR BUYOUT OR DEPOSIT WILL BE REFUNDED!
